UV Devices

UV devices

UV devices means individual devices that work on a plug-and-play basis without a separate power supply or extraction system. These devices range from simple torches to entire conveyor belt systems that meet our customers’ every demand. Manufacturers whose products we distribute include Labino and Technigraf.

These products are used for a wide range of applications: non-destructive testing (NDT), leak detection, cleanroom applications, crime scene investigation, art restoration, UV curing, agriculture and much more.

Sadechaf offers a wide range of torches. The most popular UV torch for curing applications is the UVG2 Spotlight.

UVG2

UVG2 is a lightweight torch with high-intensity light. This torch is resistant against external mechanical influences and waterproof (IP68). The maximum battery life is eight hours.

UVG5 headlight

UVG5 is a compact, powerful and adjustable head torch that enables you to keep your hands free during inspections.

This is an extremely compact lamp that is often used to inspect places that are difficult to access, such as the inside of large pipelines or containers. Depending on the model, the beam diameter ranges from 8 to 12 cm and intensity varies from ≈ 4,000 to 80,000 μW/cm2. The maximum battery life is 14 hours.

Hercules

Hercules is a small hand torch specially designed for military use. That makes is the most durable and shock-resistant UV lamp in the world, suitable for the toughest of environments. The torch is certified explosion-proof and has been tested to comply with ASTM E3022-18 and all PRIMES requirements. Whether you accidentally drop it, kick it, bake it in an oven or run a tank across it, it will still work! This torch is available in battery and mains-powered (AC) versions. If you intend to use it for hands-free inspections, it can easily be mounted on a friction arm or flexible arm.

Artemis, Helios and Ikaros are torches with a powerful and wide UV output, with power varying from 4,000 to 22,000 μW/cm2. Eight high-grade UV LEDs with white light block filters that are not affected by solarisation offer a vast beam diameter of over 26 cm. On top of that, these torches weigh significantly less than many comparable products. They are often used during field inspections or on MPI benches. All models are protected against dust and water penetration. The maximum battery life is seven hours.

The torch can be mounted in multiple ways, using a mounting bracket or on a friction arm. The torch is also extremely easy to use during inspections as it comes equipped with an ergonomic handle. Helios and Ikaros are available in both battery-powered or alternating current versions.

High-intensity UV light is often used to instantly dry inks, coatings and adhesives. This process is based on a photochemical reaction, in which liquid monomers and oligomers are mixed with photoinitiators before being exposed to UV light. UV curing is used in a wide range of industries, including car production, electronics, telecommunications, graphic design and the conversion and decoration of metal, glass and plastic. The UV curing process offers many advantages compared to traditional drying methods in terms of production time, the number of errors, production space and the environment.

Sadechaf sells ready-to-use conveyor belts with one or two lampheads. We also design these systems in-house to our customer’s requirements. Several examples are provided below. Feel free to contact us for more information or to discuss different types.

AKTIPRINT Mini Duo

AKTIPRINT Mini Duo, our smallest conveyor belt dryer, is designed as an adjustable UV curing system for fast-curing UV inks, UV varnishes and UV adhesives in the smallest print range formats. AKTIPRINT Mini is ideally suited for testing purposes and continuous production on flat materials and small moulded products. It has 1 LED UV and conventional UV.

AKTIPRINT S UV Standard

Our AKTIPRINT S UV Standard dryer is a universal, adjustable dryer. It is used to cure UV inks, UV adhesives and coatings in medium and large printing applications. The AKTIPRINT S UV Standard dryer is suitable for use with all commercially available materials, such as paper, cardboard, metal, plastic, glass and wood. This model comes equipped with an extra cooling zone with recirculated air for heat-sensitive applications. Special sizes and custom finishes are available upon request. This device is available with one, two or three UV (Hg) lamps.

Aktiprint M compact module

This air-cooled UV compact unit with a single lamp is designed to cure UV inks, UV varnishes, UV adhesives and coatings in screen-printing, flexographic, pad printing and continuous printing applications. This high-performance industrial unit with an electronic ballast can be integrated into existing printing presses and production lines.

The electronic ballast effectively compensates for mains power fluctuations, and the output of the UV lamp is freely adjustable from 30% to 100%.

We supply our UV compact units in extended versions as ready-to-use modules with separate electronic ballasts. Our compact modules are equipped with one UV lamp (Hg, max. 120 W/cm).
